Abeed started his career at Cricinfo - then the world's largest single-sport website - in 2004, before moving to ESPN Digital Media in 2007 to build its commercial team across Europe.

What followed was two decades at the sharp end of digital media, adtech and martech - as Head of Corporate Development at RadiumOne, scaling the business to £15m revenue across EMEA and the US, then CRO at Eagle Eye Solutions, delivering 150%+ year-on-year growth at a publicly listed SaaS business. Along the way, he's led or supported 25+ M&A transactions and £70m+ in deal and funding activity, and mentored founders through Seedcamp, Antler and Zinc VC.

He co-founded Volando because he kept seeing the same pattern: founders getting advice that never translated into action, or getting brought in too late, once the value had already been left on the table. Volando exists to fix that.

Abeed grew up in Kenya and represented the country at U19 level in the 1998 World Cup before going on to play for the Oxford University Centre of Excellence. Cricket has stayed close to him ever since - he still plays internationally for Kenya, alongside golf off a 7 handicap, which by his own admission takes up more headspace than it probably should.
